Day 10: Russian Latvian Day

Usually American teachers teach us, but last Friday WE taught them. It was a really good day and we had a lot of fun! Before Russian-Latvian Day’s beginning all people sang Russian and Latvian songs. We liked it because we know more of the songs. After that we studied Russian and Latvian culture and played some games. This day was full of great memories and pleasant emotions. We learned about Latvian history and traditions and played different games like “Loto,” “Matryoshka,” Ruchejek,” and others. The American teachers tasted some Latvian food called Syrniki. They like it because they eat syrniki with jam, honey, and cream. At the end of the day we learned how to dance Latvian polka. We all danced together. -CO Homeroom
