Day 1: Friendship Day

On Monday we had a Friendship Day. Each homeroom wrote a poem describing friendship. Then we decorated puzzle pieces with things that make us think about our friends and gathered in the auditorium. There each homeroom presented its poems and we put together puzzle pieces in a word: "friendship." At the end we took a photo together holding the word "friendship." -Kristian & Polina, NY
On Monday we had Friendship Day. In our homeroom we drew on pieces of puzzle and next, we stuck these pieces of puzzle together and we had the word "Friendship." Also in homeroom we wrote about our best friend. It was a great idea to think about that. We have written the poem about friendship, and then we read these poems in the assembly hall. We listened to other poems too, and it was very interesting. -Vlada & Liza, NY

Day 1: Sing-a-Long

On Monday, we had Sing-a-Long. There was funny because all campers sang together. We sang "Baby Shark," "Hi, My Name is Joe," "Bingo," "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes." It was interesting to know more English songs and spend time with fun. -Nikita, Evia & Kiril, NY

Opening Ceremony

On Monday we had one important event, which is called Opening Ceremony. At the Opening Ceremony we had a big door with four locks and helpers, American teachers and campers had a mission to open the door. There were some exercises which we did and with our help, the American camp was opened. -Oleg, NY

On Monday we had Opening Ceremony. Our task was to open the door with helpers, campers, Latvian teachers, American teachers and also our hearts 💗. There were some songs, like "Photograph." Our helpers made a dance. Kathy told her opinion about camp. In the end we learned our American teachers. 😀 -Dasha & Erika, NY

On Monday we had some questions but teachers and organizers of camp answered them for the opening ceremony. I had a little feeling of scary, but that wasn't for long, because I see it's about "friendship." -Elvis, NY
